TRINITY CHORISTERS

  I n September 2000 Trinity Church expanded its music ministry for children with a new choral program for young people.  The Trinity Choristers form an important part of Trinity's exciting music program, which thrives on a long tradition of wonderful music making.  All boys and girls aged 6-13 are invited to audition for the Choristers.

What Does The TRINITY
CHORISTERS Program Offer?

A unique musical experience working with other children in preparation, and weekly performance of, the finest choral music written for children's voices

The chance to form friendships with other music-loving children from the Greater Hartford area; boys and girls already in the program come from Hartford, West Hartford, East Hartford, Bloomfield, Hebron, and Windsor

Instruction in music reading and ensemble performance skills

Educational excursions throughout the Northeast

An annual week-long summer program

Christian Education classes

Monthly choir pay for each chorister after an introductory period

Participation in summer courses and choir festivals sponsored by the Royal School of Church Music in America, plus guest choir and concert engagements in Boston, New York and Washington, D.C.

  When Does The Program
  
                                            Meet?
Rehearsals are held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, September - June.  Choristers arrive at 9:00 on Sunday morning and sing at Trinitys 10:00 service, September - June.

All rehearsals take place at Trinity Episcopal Church, 120 Sigourney Street, in Hartfords Asylum Hill neighborhood.

Previous musical experience and church membership are not required.

 

 

 



Musically and spiritually, we are watching our daughter bloom in so many ways, and the Trinity community has welcomed our family with open arms.
